About The Senior Paws

We Get It — Senior Pets Are Different

When your dog starts slowing down on walks, or your cat stops jumping onto the couch with the same ease, something shifts in you too. You start paying closer attention. You research more. You worry a little more. And you want to get it right.

That’s exactly why dodgerblue-cod-569533.hostingersite.com exists.

Our Story

Hi, I’m Josh — and this is Buddy.

Buddy is a 9-year-old Labrador who started showing signs of joint stiffness around age 7. I spent months going down rabbit holes: joint supplements, fish oil, hip braces, prescription diets, holistic remedies. I found a lot of noise and very little signal.

What I really wanted was a single, trustworthy place where someone had already done the research — someone who actually owns a senior pet and isn’t just writing content to rank on Google.

So I built it.

dodgerblue-cod-569533.hostingersite.com started as my personal research journal. Over time, it turned into a resource used by thousands of pet owners every month who are navigating the same questions I had:

  • Which joint supplements actually work for older dogs?
  • Is CBD safe for senior cats with arthritis?
  • What should I feed a dog with a sensitive stomach at age 12?
  • How do I know when a supplement is worth the price?

We cover all of that — and more.

What You’ll Find Here

dodgerblue-cod-569533.hostingersite.com focuses exclusively on senior pet health — dogs and cats aged 7 and above (or “senior” by breed standards). We don’t try to cover everything. We go deep on what matters most as pets age.

Our main topics include:

  • Joint Health & Mobility — glucosamine, chondroitin, fish oil, turmeric, and more
  • Senior Dog & Cat Nutrition — what to feed, what to avoid, how to transition diets
  • Calming & Anxiety Support — natural remedies, supplements, and behavioral tips
  • Digestive Health — probiotics, enzymes, and managing sensitive stomachs
  • Skin, Coat & Overall Vitality — omega-3s, biotin, and anti-aging supplements
  • Breed-Specific Guides — because a 10-year-old Chihuahua has different needs than a 10-year-old Great Dane
  • Product Reviews & Comparisons — honest takes, including what we’d skip

Every article is written with one goal: to help you make a confident, informed decision for your pet — without replacing your vet.

Our Approach

We believe in a few core principles:

Evidence-informed, not fearmongering. We cite research when it exists, acknowledge when it doesn’t, and never exaggerate risks just to drive clicks.

Vet-first always. Every article encourages you to work with your veterinarian. We provide context and information — your vet provides diagnosis and treatment.

Honest about products. Some supplements are excellent. Some are overpriced marketing. We’ll tell you both. We use affiliate links to keep the site running (more on that in our Disclaimer), but our editorial opinions are never for sale.

Written for real pet owners. No jargon, no overwhelming walls of text. Just clear, warm, practical guidance — from one pet owner to another.
